Lara – The End of the story – Or a New Beginning

30 May, 2011 (20:41) | LARA Blog, The Journey of a Terrified Rescue Dog | By: DogSmith

Lara in a short video that shows how cute she is and how far she has come. She is happy and relaxed and actually responds to her name and to a simple cue to ‘sit’
This was a dog that was so scared for so many months she would curl up in a ball and hide her face.

It has taken over a year to catch a video like this and it happened just a couple of days after we decided to keep her. Fostering her for almost 18 months, how could we let her go. Lara is a testimony to DogSmith Dog Training Methods. This was not a dog that you could correct or punish. It was also hard to capture or shape behaviors as there was no starting point. It took weeks to get her to look at you by shaping her to glance in the right direction. You can follow her complete blog here.
