New Spirit 4 Aussie Rescue – To The Rescue

11 February, 2011 (09:00) | LARA Blog, The Journey of a Terrified Rescue Dog | By: DogSmith

What a great team of people head up New Spirit 4 Aussie Rescue FL, I always feel so proud to help dedicated rescue persons in a call to “Rescue Action”

This great Red Merle boy was located in a high kill shelter in North West Florida, the shelter manager worked with New Spirit to get him to a vet and have him  x-rayed as he could not walk and was in pain.

The sweet boy has a fractured pelvis but will be OK with lots of love, pain meds and time to rest. Here are a couple of short video clips from last night just one hour after he arrived at The DogSmith Training Center. You can see the huge potential in his big amber eyes.

The poor guy has a big old collar on with a big loop,  it looks like he has been chained in the past. He got a little panicky when i tried to remove it so for now it can stay in place as it is not causing him any pain and is very loose.  The most important thing is making him feel pain free, secure and well fed.
