Some Dog Training methods are inhumane, cruel and abusive while others are just plain ineffective. At The DogSmith School For Dog Trainers we work toward a world where people and their pets live together to the mutual benefit of each and where, by our efforts, we can significantly reduce the number of unwanted pets and provide abused, neglected, and abandoned pets an opportunity to find their “forever home”. The Governor of Delaware just signed the most sweeping, progressive companion animal protection legislation in the United States. The law was modeled on the No Kill Advocacy Center’s Companion Animal Protection Act and spearheaded by the non-profit No Kill shelter Faithful Friends, in Wilmington, Delaware, and involved groups like Stray Haven Animal Sanctuary.
The next big goal is to get her leash trained. Whenever you attach something to her collar she shuts down. Now she ‘likes me’ and will sit with me and on me I can begin to desensitize her collar and leash and then we will learn to stand still on a leash and then take some steps on her leash. This will be the final obstacle before she can go to a new home (mmmmMMM maybe I will wait a few weeks before we begin the leash training).
To date, there is no clinical evidence to refute suspicions, hidden video, and personal accounts that euthanized dogs, cats, and possibly horses are rendered and become pet food ingredients.
